Michael Bay vs Bruce Willis

I think we know the winner…

Bruce Willis
…but I’ll go on record and say Willis is like 300x cooler than Bay. There having some little spat on AICN according to defamer.

I hate to think of the production assistant who have to answer to michael bay’s whims. I bet he sends him on crazy errands to find obscure transformer toys or videos. Those poor, underappreciated assistants. I wonder if companies are giving PAs gps systems like the nuvi 350 to help them navigate the jungle of los angeles. My friend did it for awhile, those thomas guides don’t help you find the best path from coldwater canyon to burbank in 20 minutes in los angeles traffic. That can only be done the old fashion way: some luck, patience, gps system or with a motorcycle.

The battle is almost won

“Battlestar Galactica” will end its run with its fourth season. SciFi pulled the “your show is too expensive and not enough people watch it to justify that kind of money” story. Same thing with “Stargate SG-1″ and “Farscape.” Four seasons isn’t too bad. I didn’t watch much of season 3, but I hear it was crazy since the Cyclons sorta won and the humans had to rebel again.

Are they still looking for their “home” or whatever the hell the premise was from the original show? Wouldn’t in the future on a SPACESHIP they would have the best gps system ever created? At the very least on Star Trek, they’d appear to be wandering around, but they always knew where home was. Sulu would just punch away at his console and calculate their destination (I bet with something cooler than a tomtom one gps). I guess “Battlestar” isn’t caught up in the science, seems to be more focused on the fictional melodrama.

Paris still going to jail

Paris exits court house
The Hilton heiress was sentenced to 45 days in jail, starting June 5th. Her mom and lawyers are understandably shocked by the judge’s sentence. So appalled that they are seeking a pardon from Governor Schwartznegger, which is preposterous. She violated her parole, whether intentional or not, she’s got to face the consequences. I don’t get how she keeps getting caught by the police. Can’t she afford a fancy lowrance gps that will allow her to drive around hollywood on side streets where cops and paparazzi don’t linger?

Let the parody videos begin with Frangela.

‘The Dark Knight’: Looking good

I just read that Maggie Gyllenhaal replaced Katie Holmes as Batman’s love interest. This is great news for the film (and me). One of my guy friends found it weird that Batman was prettier than his love interest in Batman Begins. Perhaps, now the playing field is even. Heath Ledger is also confirmed to play the Joker.

I wonder what fancy gadgets will be in the sequel. That Batmobile was pretty sharp. And perhaps, they could get some subtle product placements to help foot the bill. Batman or Rachel could always use some sort of garmin gps watch or nuvi to locate the bad guy. That Joker can be slippery, placing a tracking device on the criminal sounds cool to me.

‘Heroes’ on DVD

I really like this new show “Heroes”. It has cliffhangers, which somehow don’t infuriate me like on “Lost”. I can’t believe on “Lost” they landed some character on the island with a satellite phone that can signal some sort of magellan gps receiver. That’s bollocks.

Anyway, back to the good show. “Heroes” is coming out on dvd on August 28th. That sounds like forever, but really it’s not so bad. Plus, I’m sure we’ll be able to see re-runs during the summer and/or online. I was reading on PopCandy that some reader called in to discuss who was hotter: Sayid from “Lost” or Mohinder from “Heroes”. I personally prefer the younger, cuter Indian Mohinder. He is smokin’. But, Sayid does seem smarter, and brains are kinda hot. I wonder who Whitney’s vote went to during that call. I say Mohinder all the way.
