Digital Camcorder Redux

Disposable Camcorders

I was shopping at CVS, when I noticed a flyer advertising disposable camcorders. They were like really basic camcoders. No real tricks or extras that a traditional video camera has. And they were at least 50 bucks for not much memory!

If you did that 10x, you’d be able to buy some sort of camcorder sony makes for beginners. Or you could buy a really nice digital camera, like a Sony Cybershot H9. They come equipped with decent camcorder technology. It’s nothing fancy, but neither are these disposable ones.

I just can’t believe they are trying to market these crappy camcorders. I guess it would be useful if you have an event you want to videotape only once. I hear plenty of people who invested in camcorders never really use them. So this would be the ideal product for those types of users.
