Get some ‘Hot Fuzz’
I got a sneak peak at the next movie from the creators of Shaun of the Dead. Hot Fuzz is a black comedy about Sgt. Nick Angel who gets stuck patrolling a country village. He’s a strict, by-the-book police officer who takes his job too seriously. It’s hilarious! I give it an A+. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.
The stars and the director did a Q&A afterwards. Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are quite cheeky. Them saying anything would be a great extra feature for the dvd. They were filming the discussion with a digital camcorder off to the side. Wonder if it will end up on the dvd? They did mention that they were going to have two real-life policemen do a commentary for the release.
Edgar Wright, the director, is a funny guy too. He recently did a faux trailer for Grindhouse with cameos by Nick & Simon. His segment was called “Don’t”.

Grindhouse comes out on Friday while Hot Fuzz doesn’t hit theaters until April 20th. Nick introduced the film by saying there’s a reason this movie is coming out on 4/20. He’s so right.
