iPod Virus?
I just read about this ipod virus thing, which actually isn’t much of a crisis..yet.
According to Mobuzz, it only affects ipods that were used on Mac OS and then converted to Linux. What is that? Only like 2% of ipods? So who cares, right? Well, they are speculating that it might be a harbinger. Maybe next, other devices like gps computers or even camcorders might carry viruses someday. That would be scary. Just think, you buy a garmin c530 as a gift for your dad. Next, he hooks it up to his car and it totally leaks a virus to the car’s computer. That’s would be impressive. But if a gadget can be hooked up to the internet, it’s a reasonable assumption that it might be vulnerable to a virus. That’d be just too evil.
I hope they can get this thing under control. Hacking is so 1995. Whoever is creating viruses today is definitely not as cool as this.
