It never gets old
I watched the 40 year old Virgin with my pal LNDSML. That movie is just so hilarious. Last night, it reminded me how much I love Paul Rudd. I love his portrayal of the depressed, yet angry, crazy guy who can’t get over his ex-girlfriend (played so well by Mindy Kaling).
The scene where he holds a dcr Sr80 to his face is so great! And the video camera is hooked up to display across all the big screen televisions. So you get to see him acting like a drunk idiot across ten screens! It’s so funny, especially when he’s like flashing his butt to the camera. He sorta takes it one step too far, but it works. Then, it’s a hard cut to them changing it promptly to Michael McDonald getting all busy.
Speaking of Mr. McDonald, I love me some Michael McDonald, and so do Yacht Rock. They make you really appreciate that Hall & Oates-y smooth rock era so much more. If you like Steve Carell, you’re gonna love these guys. Check out episode one, which tells the story behind “What a Fool Believes”.
