Digital Camcorder Redux

Watch this or else - “Wolf Like Me”

I was standing at this godawful concert (panic! at the disco)when I first saw this video. It came on this random Helio music channel. I love me some TV on the Radio and this vid definitely hit the spot. I was surrounded by all these mallpunks and emo kids trying to resist the urge to hit someone. And TVOTR just evened things out for me. Helped find my zen place.

The video was directed by Jon Watts. It looks like he shot most it wth a sony digital video camcorder, but then did an effect on it to make it look like a silent movie. Any type of camera’s footage can be manipulated with After Effects and other programs. Using a panasonic camcorder digital effects like Sepia tone could give you a similar style to your images.

I love TVOTR’s motto about just making music and art with friends. They just sorta stumbled together as a band. Tunde, the singer, is also an actor. I saw on Netflix he starred in some indie movie called Jump Tomorrow. And he directed a music video for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs too. All the guys in the band are like renaissance men. I guess it’s all art to them.
