New James Bond Theme: “Another Way to Die”

Jack White and Alicia Keys paired up for the requisite James Bond theme for Quantum of Solace . Catch the music video below.

The song is a bit minimalist for my tastes, but it’s not bad. Jack White’s guitar and Alicia Key’s sultry piano fit well together. The song drags on a bit, but overall it’ll do for a movie theme song.

The video is another story though. What’s with the crazy cgi animated wire graphics floating around the duo? I get that it’s an homage to the style of the James Bond title sequences, but it just seems a bit cheesy and overly high concept. I could probably whip up the same visual tricks myself with a copy of Adobe After Effects. But who cares about the video anyway? This song’s main function is to compliment the title sequence, which I’m sure it will do quite nicely.
