Sequel-tastic news: Ghostbusters 3 in the works
Apparently, some writers from NBC’s “The Office” were writing a sequel to Ghostbusters 2 until Harold Ramis caught wind of it. To appease the Ramis, creator of these wonderful poltergeist-chasing fellows, Columbia pictures let him make some notes and needless to say, Ramis was not pleased. Now news leaks of the sequel and these boys are going to have to figure out how to play nice.
Is it just me? Am I the only person who thinks the world will make it out just fine without the existence of Ghostbusters 3? It was cute to see Bill Murray wooing Sigourney Weaver (and that homely baby Oscar) again. But then again, Peter MacNichols faux-European accent got a bit annoying after awhile. And how scary can hate ooze and a painting really be? Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg are really gonna have to get creative with this re-vamp. Please don’t ruin my memory of the Ghostbusters like that Scooby Doo CGI crapfest did a few years back.
