Third Times a Charm? A new Harry Potter Trailer
A week before the Half-Blood Prince was supposed to premiere, we get a third trailer for the flick.
I do like it much better than the last trailer. But for heaven’s sake, stop reminding I have to wait until July 2009 for my curiosity to be sated, Warner Bros!

New Half-Blood Prince Harry Potter Trailer
Here’s the international trailer for the next movie in the Harry Potter film series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Trailer Check:
This trailer is way more action packed than the last trailer. They’re focusing less on the mystery of Voldemort and the prince angle, and more on the looming battle to come. Sheesh, I can’t believe I’ve got to wait eight more months for this movie to come out! July 2009, hurry up already!

Cheadle Howard ‘Iron Man’ Swap
I hate to be a film purist, but replacing Terence Howard in Iron Man 2 with Don Cheadle is a mistake. Why? Because the original film is still going to be vivid in the audience’s memory, so everytime Cheadle pops up, I’m just gonna be yearning for Howard. Sorry Don, but them’s the brakes. Get some more money for Terence, trust me it’ll be worth it.
Think about it though. Anytime there was a major casting change in a sequel, it only worked when people forgot all about the first actor because a) they wanted to because the first actor sucked (i.e. Batman Begins and Katie Holmes) or b) the replacement actor was forced upon us because the first actor died (i.e. the recent Harry Potter sequels where Michael Gambon subbed for Richard Harris).
That’s basically it. Otherwise, the sequel feels cheapened somehow. Find tons of geek chatter on the casting switch at /Film and Pajiba.

You’ll have to wait for the ‘Half-Blood Prince’
Nooooooooooooo, I don’t know how I missed this news but the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been moved to next summer!!!!!
Why oh why do you torture me so, Warner Bros?! Oh well, I suppose they needed more time for the special f/x. I rather they take more time than release a less than stellar movie.
Now that Harry Potter won’t be sucking up all that Thanksgiving 2008 theater real estate, Baz Luhrman’s Australia will fill that November 26 void.

Tom Riddle aka Damien
Check out a young Tom Riddle (the future wizard, Voldemort) in the trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince:
I don’t know where they found that kid, but he appropriately creeped me out. I wonder if performed the scene straight by just reading the script and source material. Or did the filmmakers subject him to repeat viewings of The Omen (maybe in that Clockwork Orange brainwashing chair set up?), so he morph into this Damien-esque portrayal of Voldemort?
