Bucket List Late Bloomer

Until last weekend, I think I was the only person on the planet who had not seen The Bucket List. Released on DVD back in June, The Bucket List is an amazing blend of humor, human nature, and family dynamics.

Both hilarious and extraordinarily thought-provoking for a drama, let alone a comedy, The Bucket List had me shedding tears of both laughter and sadness as two, seemingly opposite, men set out to fulfill their final wishes…including a surprising take on “kissing the most beautiful girl in the world”.

Morgan Freeman is absolutely endearing as the wise and calm blue collar man who always put his family first. Contrast that with Jack Nicholson, the filthy rich business man with less than stellar values, and you’ve got a recipe for clever dialogue, side-splitting laughter, and movie success.

If you haven’t picked up The Bucket List on DVD, put it on your Labor Day Weekend to do list. Maybe I’m not the last person in the world to see it? Who cares, this one’s worthy of a second watch.
